Bio
George Orwell, pseudonym of Eric Arthur Blair, was born on 25th June, 1903 in Bengal, India and died on 21st January, 1950 in London, England. He was an English novelist, essayist and critic famous for his novels Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-four, the latter a profound anti-utopian novel that explores the dangers of totalitarian rule. Before his writing career, he joined the Indian Imperial Police in Burma and subsequently, a British colony. In 1927, he resigned and decided to become a writer.
