Frances Hodgson Burnett

Bio

One of the best Anglo-Saxon writers, Frances Hodgson Burnett was a born storyteller. Even as a young child, her greatest pleasure was in making up stories and acting them out, using her dolls as characters. She wrote over 40 books, including the classics A Little Princess and The Secret Garden. Burnett died in Long Island in 1924, at the age of 74.
