Carl Hiaasen

Bio

Carl Hiaasen was born and raised in Florida, where he still lives with his family. At the age of 23, he joined The Miami Herald as a general assignment reporter and has been writing a regular column since 1985. Hiaasen has received numerous state and national honours, including the 2010 Ernie Pyle Lifetime Achievement Award for his journalism and commentary. He has also appeared in many well-known magazines including Playboy, Time and Esquire.
